Join Tola’s Room and SNF Parkway Theatre for the opening night of PR Weekend Baltimore 2026, a three-day celebration of Puerto Rican film and cultural storytelling. This special evening marks the Baltimore premiere of the critically acclaimed Puerto Rican film Esta Isla, creating a rare and meaningful opportunity for Baltimore audiences to experience one of the island’s most celebrated new cinematic works.
The night begins with a cocktail hour in the Parkway Lounge featuring pitorro generously provided by Puerto Rico Distillery, followed by a live bomba performance from Semilla Cultural bringing the spirit of Puerto Rican cultural tradition onto the Parkway stage. Together, these experiences create an immersive opening celebration and honoring to the island of Puerto Rico.
Following the screening, audience members will have the opportunity to participate in a special Q&A conversation with directors, Lorraine Jones and Cristian Carretero.
